Joseph Tatro is a graduate student in Applied Mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He holds degrees in both pure mathematics and quantitative finance from the University of Texas at Austin. His research is at the intersection of geometry and machine learning, with a current interest in deep generative models.  He is particularly interested in issues of explainability and trust of these models.
